The 2015 North American International Auto Show kicked off today with lots of eye candy. From much anticipated truck introductions to hot sports cars, Detroit is on fire.

2016 Audi Q7

An all new Q7 struts into Detroit looking more like a wagon than an SUV in my opinion. The new body is wrapped in a much more chiseled and edgier package. In my opinion it almost looks generic however.

Ford F150 Raptor

Ford is on it this year with several new release including the all new aluminum body Raptor. The new Raptor offers a high output 3.5 Liter Ecoboost Turbo V6. This new rally truck will have more power and torque than the 6.2 Liter V8 truck it replaces. The New Raptor will also debut a new sophisticated 4WD system that has adjustable terrain settings.

2015 Nissan Titan XD
This much anticipated debut has been a long time coming. It has been over 10 years since the Titan was introduced and this 2015 model year is the first full model makeover. Wherein a face reminiscent of the outgoing Ford F-150, this new XD model is said to be a bridge between a 1/2 ton and heavy duty pickup. With the new 5.0 liter Cummins V8 Diesel under the hood it may be a formidable contender, only time will tell.

Acura’s NSX

Its been over three years since we were first introduced to the concept. Now its a reality. With its mid engine layout, this candy red jewel echoes the perfect balance of inspired NSX heritage and chiseled modern design.

Ford GT Concept
Looking like something from a Scifi movie with its mid engine, floating B-Pillar and oversized body integrated dual exhaust, this lean and mean laser blue rocket is ready for take off. It’s also ready for action on the big screen as it is said to be revealed in the latest release of the Forza 6 video game for Xbox One. The rest of us will have to wait until late next year to get our hands on the wheel.
Buick Avenir
This shocking surprise rocks Detroit with stately presence and emotional body lines that demand attention. Not sure if this is Buick’s modern interpretation of the Park Avenue or not, but it certainly could be and I definitely hope GM responds with the production version. This design however doesn’t need to be watered down as GM has done with previous concept cars that have made it into production.
